The Wall Street Journal ran an article on the Bible and capitalism. It’s not too bad for a short piece.
I have been working on this since 1960. I am finishing up the final proofreading of my 31 volumes on this. I can say that the rabbi has it right.
The Bible defends private property twice in the Ten Commandments: the 8th commandment (7th if you’re a Catholic or a Lutheran) and the 10th.
The tax revolt against Solomon’s son Rehoboam split the nation of Israel.
The Bible does promote entrepreneurship. It also promotes personal responsibility.
Read the article. Then go here to read one or more of my commentaries. I am publishing one each week.

I was eating lunch on the other day with my 10
year old Granddaughter and I asked her, "What
day is tomorrow?"
She said, & I quote, "It's President's Day!"
She is a smart kid.
I asked "What does President's Day mean?"
I was waiting for something about Washington
or Lincoln …. etc.
She replied, "President's Day is when President
Obama steps out of the White House, and if he
sees his shadow we have one more
year of unemployment."
You know, it hurts when hot coffee spurts out your nose.
Swindlers and scam artists like those at the Federal Reserve are not capitalists, they are thieves and criminals. To add insult to injury they were working their greedy scam in the House of Truth, no wonder Jesus turned over their tables.
Jesus would rail against the tea party members. They think nothing about others just about how they can avoid paying taxes.
And they think nothing about others just themselves, while Jesus loved everyone, even penny-pinchers.
I look forward to North's treatment of the distinction between "capitalism" and something like "biblical capitalism" or "capitalism subordinate to God's kingdom".
LOL what a tool. The TEA party is for LESS government. LESS spending. It's too bad you have to spend your spare time making insipid comments.
