If you can teach young children to read with the phonics method, I have an offer for you.
If you can use very simple programs to create a video screencast, I have an offer for you.
If you want to change the lives of thousands of young children, who will be taught in their homes by their mothers, who will use your video lessons to teach their children, I have an offer for you.
If you want a way to generate royalty income for you, passively, maybe for the rest of your life, I have an offer for you.
If you want to stick it good and hard to the people who designed Common Core, I have an offer for you.
If you would like to become a course provider for the Ron Paul Curriculum, which is already operating, I have an offer for you.
When I outlined the curriculum for the Ron Paul Curriculum in 2013, I decided to limit it to grades six through 12. I have reconsidered that decision. I have decided to add courses that will take children from preschool through grade 5, and then all the way through high school. I actually hope that some students will finish at least their first two years of college by means of this curriculum. To learn how any homeschooled high school student can do this, click this link.
I have lined up course providers for every part of the curriculum, grades 1-5, except for the reading curriculum, from preschool through grade 3.
I know there are tens of thousands of women out there who have successfully taught their own children how to read. What I am hoping is that there is one woman out there, or possibly one man, who is willing to sit down and make simple screencast videos that will help young mothers teach their children how to read.
I am convinced that there is a teacher out there who can produce worksheets based on public domain materials, such as the McGuffey readers, or the wonderful books by Thornton W. Burgess, to teach young children how to read.
I want a dedicated instructor who would do this for free, but is happy to receive lifetime income for having produced such a homeschool teaching program. I want somebody really dedicated to the idea of homeschooling, but who will nevertheless happily cash monthly royalty checks. In other words, I want someone who was in it for the cause, but who is happy to get paid.
If that is you, your ship has come in.
Note: Do not sit patiently at the Greyhound Bus station, waiting for your ship to come in.
Your face will not appear on-screen. We use screencasting software that lets you narrate whatever image is on the screen: book page, letter, or chart. You need only these tools:
A $15/year subscription to Screencast-O-Matic Pro
An external microphone, which I will supply
Just talk the child through daily 10-minute lessons, with a teacher next to the child to offer encouragement.
Bottom line: if you taught your own child how to read with phonics, you can teach thousands of children to do the same.
The lessons don’t have to be perfect. They just have to be better than Common Core.
If you think Common Core is a bad program, then offer a better program . . . and get paid.
Don’t curse the darkness. Light a candle. Get paid every time that some mother uses your candle.
How many lessons? A lot: 180/year.
I teach two courses each term. It’s not that hard if you know your material.
Produce a sample lesson. Use the free version of Screencast-O-Matic. Post it on YouTube. Then email the link to me. You don’t need an external microphone for the sample lesson.

Maybe you cannot do this, but someone you know can. Forward this article to that person.
