Video: Stephen Colbert Takes On Common Core

Comedy Central frontman Stephen Colbert, who will soon replace David Letterman on CBS’s “Late Show,” openly mocked the Obama administration’s Common Core education standards.

Colbert first poked fun at the public’s widespread paranoia of the standards, but he then shared some examples of confusing Common Core assignments, suggesting that perhaps that paranoia is warranted.

    I don't care what he thinks BUT a lot of young people watch him 'for their news' – On a comedy channel, 'Natch!
    And he was actually making those people see what we all KNOW is wrong with Common Core.

    In spite of the fact that Colbert is left of left sometimes he gets it right and this time he almost did if you ignore his initial slap at conservatives. Seems as though he did have to acknowledge that we're right though!
