Which Of These Burglary Victims Would You Prefer To Be? It’s Easy.

Posted on April 8, 2014

According to the gun-grabbing left, no American needs a gun for self-defense ever, but one 83-year-old man is very happy he had a weapon to ward off an intruder to his Huntsville, Alabama home.

From Alabama Media:

According to a police report, the 83-year-old man said someone in a hooded sweatshirt came to his home in the 2400 block of Dairy Lane close to 12:30 a.m. Saturday. He told police the person said he needed help but then kicked out the door’s glass and force his way in when the resident went to call 911.

The resident said he got his handgun and fired a single shot, which struck the intruder in the chest. The man claims the offender dove out the window and ran away. Police could not immediately find him.

The resident was uninjured and is not facing charges.

According to the police report, a man matching this description allegedly robbed another home just a few blocks away on Chapman Avenue right before this. That victim, a 60-year-old man, said he was asleep in the front room when the intruder burst in and threatened him with a framing hammer. The victim fled uninjured.

Now, who would you rather be, the first guy who defended himself, or the second man who was at the mercy of his criminal aggressor? I can tell you which one Piers Morgan and the liberal left want all of us to be.

Ammo up, keep your powder dry and lock and load.

  2. ozombeehunta says:

If I am ever on a jury I will NOT convict a person who defends themselves with a fire arm. So there.

  3. Even if some people have guns, evildoers never know what they will face. Take away the guns and it becomes a free fire zone for bad guys. Honest people in Chicago can now get guns and the crime rate went down. The more guns the good guys have the more the bad guys have to fear. See my blog at http://cranky-conservative.blogspot.com

  4. THE LEFT WANTS NO TO OWN A FIRE ARM. THIS IS EASY:::: TAKE ALL FIRE ARMS AWAY FROM ALL ON THE LEFT SIDE AND PLACE A FIRE ARMS SAFE ZONE AT EACH RESIDENCE.::::, THE REST US US WILL KEEP FIRMS IF WE WANT. Now that was easy

  5. Guess that's the end of the construction industry. Obviously, if you're going to ban the weapon utilized by the victim, then you have to ban the weapon used by the assailant as well.

  6. Hammers kill more victims each year than all classes of rifles combined. We SHOULD register them, and perhaps also require a wristband with RFID chip, without which the hammer will not function. Oh, and don't forget, we need to make sure anyone in possession of a hammer has had their criminal history examined carefully to assure they are mentally and morally fit to have that dangerous weaoon. Hammers kill, you know……

Poor choice of words: The 83-year-old was definitely NOT a 'victim'.

Having a gun for self protection–or for for someone else's protection for that matter–just makes way too much sense. That's why liberals can't understand it: they don't have any sense.

  9. Because he had a firearm, and he was willing to use it! He could have been a victim if he lived in NY, MA, IL, or NJ!

  10. RoboTech says:

Then NEVER say that during the jury selection, you will be dismissed. I guarantee you.

  11. Are nail guns considered firearms? Seems like they could be useful. Nail a few criminals.

He needed a bigger gun. If he hit the goon in the chest and the goon ran away and couldn't be found, he needed a bigger gun. .357 Mag or .45 ACP or the like would have done a better job I expect. Nonetheless, good for the man that defended hiself!
