“I Plead the Fifth” IRS Lady Has Been Given a Paid Vacation. Oh, Woe!

Written by Gary North on May 24, 2013

The IRS official who took the fifth this week to avoid talking about her leadership in the scandal has been put on administrative leave. Fully-paid, of course.

Oh, the shame of it all!

So, the lady gets a paid vacation. She oversaw the scandal, pleaded the fifth amendment, refused to answer questions, and then gets a paid vacation.

Justice is swift in Washington!

Meanwhile, Nancy Pelosi blames Bush. That’s right. Bush did it.

The more things change, the more they stay the same.

Washington is good for amusement. It is expensive amusement, but it is still amusement.

    Botox face is senile.

  2. The good thing is everyone has seen her corrupted face and I hope everywhere she goes she bombarded with questions

34 yrs. with government , she should be held in contempt and then jailed. "NOW"

  4. The Obama voters should be happy to pay for her vacation and also the Muslim terrorist in jail waiting court date for his atrocities on the military ,full pay for him possibly more

  5. Johnny Connelly says:

"ALSO" I sure hope the lawyers sitting behind her on the day in question, aren't being paid for with my dime. That need's to be brought out in court or where ever she will be heard eventually.

  6. You really expect the truth from someone who's pleading the fifth!! Are you serious???

  7. I agree!! No one in any offical capacity job should take the fifth!!

There is a little thing known as Inherent Contempt of Congress. This is there to put those unlawful convicts that refuse to speak when asked by Congress about the controversy (scandal) they have been willing participants. It is criminal charges brought about when criminals try to conceal the truth. Arrest, charge and convict! Period.

  9. Jailed? I don't want to spend a cent of tax money on these people.

    This just in, Breaking News:

For one minute early this morning at 06:51 AM, no Democrats told a lie.

No one can remember that happening for at least the last 100 years.

Most government workers are given Administrated Leave with pay if that leave was warranted. For example, the laid-off Air Traffic Controllers. When they are allowed back to work, they get all the back pay they missed! So why lay them off in the first place? It amounted to free time off. The government bureaucracy takes care of it's own at the expense of the tax payers.

  12. "The bureaucrat's first objective, of course, is preservation of his job – provided by the big-government system, at taxpayer's expense. … Whether real-world problems get solved or not is of secondary importance. It doesn't take much cynicism, in fact, to see that the bureaucrats have a vested interest in not having problems solved. If the problems did not exist (or had not been invented), there would be no reason for the bureaucrat to have a job." . . . former Treasury Secretary William Simon (1927-2000) . . .

  13. LOL. You're running a circus here, Gary – congratulations.

I am so sick of lying liberals. The media are true enablers (except for the brave internet media, Inverstors Business Daily, Fox and a very few others.)

  15. Seymour Kleerly says:

How many times did Reagan say "I don't recall"? Ollie North, pleaded the 5Th 100 times. There's plenty more examples.

  16. Seymour Kleerly says:

Why would Bush appoint such a person?

  17. Jim in Tucson says:

The entire system is completely corrupt and quite frankly more than likely, beyond repair.
You can’t trust the Republicans (mainly “RHINO’s”) and they are too weak and soft and they compromise on their principles.
The Founding and very foundation of our country is the Constitution that is considered either just a speed bump or an occasional reference document.
The Federal Government spies on everything we do now and forever collects and stores data to use against you as they see fit. And they protect and hide their own.
Government employees that break policy or perjure themselves or commit acts/policies against the Constitution and We, the People should be instantly fired with complete loss of benefits and pay just like the private sector. No one in the government ever should have any laws or policies that put themselves or protect themselves above the people. (as in they get great insurance and we get Obamacare and refusing to answer we, the people.)
All government people that do not cooperate with any inquiries from We, the People should be immediately terminated. Not receiving payed leave ever.
The Obama Administration will come out with a few scapegoats as fall guys and filter them money or set them up with cushy dream jobs and money in the private sector. It’s all corrupt and it is completely all rigged through and through and with an exception to just a few Tea Party Representatives and Senators, they like down at We, the People with disdain as pests to be controlled and muzzled. I know, the IRS has come after me since “09” for exercising my 1st Amendment rights online constantly. I am an optimist about life and creation but very much forced to be a realist also. They will just drag it us until it dissipates with a few scapegoats and it will turn wishy washy like “Fast and Furious” and then back to business as usual.
Think I’m wrong? We still have the Dept of Education still teaching propaganda to K-12 and Agenda 21 and the continuing of pushing Federal ID check. It’s ALL in motion and stacked against us.

they are PAID by the public and WE are their bosses! if a president can't plead the fith and will get impeached….i don't understand this at all it is just not right…if she is telling the truth WHY is she refusing to answer any questions? IS SHE COVERING UP FOR HER SUPERIOR? and so WE THE PEOPLE keep paying her?????????????
    petition anyone???

Don't be too sure of that! Time is different in different parts of the country, so at that particular time, one may have lied. I guess it still hasn't happened.

  21. Raymond says:

Honestly, you just haven't lived 'til you've stayed in a private 3-story villa at a 5-Star luxury hotel, the Villa Padierna.
It only cost $95,000, and I was able to hold the total bill under $500,000 for the week. What a bargain!

Thank you also for the use of Air Force Two and the 70 Secret Service personnel who tagged along to be
sure we were safe and cared for at all times. Air Force Two (which costs $11,351 per hour to operate according
to Government Accounting Office reports) only used 47,500 gallons of jet fuel for this trip and carbon emissions
were a mere 1,031 tons of CO2. That's quite a carbon footprint as my good friend Al Gore would say, so we must
ask the American citizens to drive smaller, more fuel efficient cars and drive less too, so we can lessen our combined
    carbon footprint.

But hey, Barack's Air Force One costs about $200,000. per hour to operate and with his many trips, he spent almost
half a billion dollars on flights alone last year. Yeah, that’s with a B? $500,000,000.

By the way, if you happen to be visiting the Costa del Sol, I highly recommend the Buenaventura Plaza restaurant in
Marbella ; great lobster with rice and oysters! I'm ashamed to admit the lobsters we ate in Martha's Vineyard were not
quite as tasty, but what can you do if you're not in Europe , you have to just grin and bear it.

I know times are hard and millions of you are struggling to put food on the table and trying to make ends meet.
So I do appreciate your sacrifices and do hope you find work soon. I was really exhausted after Barack took our
family on a luxury vacation in Maine a few weeks ago. I just had to get away for a few days.

    Michelle Obama

P.S. Thank you as well for the $2 BILLION dollar trip to India from which we just returned!

P.SS. Thank you, too, for that vacation trip to Martha's Vineyard – It was fabulous! we were
away from the White House for eleven days.

  22. From a Biblical perspective, the entire idea of invoking "the Fifth Amendment" is bogus:

"…The Fifth Amendment’s self-incrimination exception conflicts with Yahweh’s oath requirement in Exodus 22:10-11 and 1 Kings 8:31-32, in which litigants are prohibited from remaining silent. In Joshua 7:19, Joshua required Achan to 'give … glory to YHWH God of Israel and make confession unto him.'

"Anyone who does not plead guilty must swear to his innocence and pay the consequences if proven otherwise. Pleading innocent, as done in today’s constitutional courts with essentially no judgment for perjury, is not the same as swearing a self-maledictory oath, which, in capital cases, can result in the death penalty if the litigant perjures himself. For crimes of theft, anyone caught in an intentional cover-up is required to pay an additional twenty percent of the two to five times restitution (Exodus 22:1, 4) already required, depending upon the nature of the theft….

"Leviticus 5 demands testimony of all witnesses, including the accused:

'If someone is officially summoned to give evidence in court and does not give information about something he has seen or heard, he must suffer the consequences…. When a person is guilty, he must confess the sin.' (Leviticus 5:1, 5, TEV)

"The Ninth Commandment not only condemns false testimony, it demands truthful testimony. Leviticus 5:1 requires a criminal to testify against himself, whereas the Fifth Amendment declares a criminal cannot be compelled to do so. In effect, the Fifth Amendment sides with the criminal…."

Wow! Telling it as it really is Ted! Watch: October 5, 2013 which is the REAL date for the next Annual Feast for Yahweh's Feast of Trumpets(war)! I do see Elder Gary Miller, a Physics Instructor by profession, is "Eliyah" who must come first because "only" HE keeps the true SABBATHS(WEEKLY & ANNUAL), which is the only SIGN given man(info@icyahweh.org;). Again, WATCH!

  24. Doug Rodrigues says:

Big government takes care of it's own. Same thing applies to laid off Civil Service workers due to lack of funding. When they get called back to work, they also collect back pay for the days that they should have worked! So why lay them off in the first place? If the company your work for laid you off because of a lack of business, are you going to get back pay for the days you missed if business improves? Nothing better than working for government: your job may not even be necessary but you still get paid to be there. Such a deal…..

  25. Doug Rodrigues says:

    Opps. Sorry for the typo.
