Grover Norquist, the much-hated guru of lower taxes, has said we are not going to see a budget deal this year.
I have said the same thing.
This is good news for the Tea Party, Norquist says. The outrage at higher taxes that will hit the middle class next year will drive people into the arms of the Tea Party.
That’s good news for me. The Tea Party Economist is positioned for just such growth.
The public will be losers. Tax hikes make losers of most people. One way or another, taxes are going up. Outrage will go up. The economy will go down.
The federal government is too big. It is going to get bigger. It owes too much to old people. It owes too much to welfare clients. It owes too much to the defense industry. It cannot pay its bills without borrowing. So, it owes too much to lenders.
These debts cannot be paid off. So, it will do no good to raise taxes. The taxes will not get paid. The economy will tank if the government tries to collect the taxes scheduled for 2013. A falling economy will reduce federal revenues and increase federal welfare expenditures.
We need lower taxes. We need reduced federal spending. We will get neither.
The Tea Party will grow. So will my mailing list.
To make money in this world, bet against government wisdom.
It's time for a conservative party in America. The actions of the GOP in selecting Romney, the weakness of Bohner is catering to the emporer, the willingness of the Republican party to grow the government and refusal to hold to conservative values and the Constitution show clearly that, at least in Washington, there is only one party, the big government party. We have 2 years until we can replace the phony conservatives in Congress and 4 years until we can replace obama. It's time to start moving now.
And if we dont start moving now, we may never get another chance to reclaim that which has been lost: The Constitutional Republic.
Education will be key, and reminding the general populace that these problems only come from a growing federal government. Bringing people together is the biggest hurdle to overcome, they will stick to party because they dont fully understand the problems.
Maybe the king winning the election was not such a bad thing after all, as it will SHOW the people what they truly begat; it will also show them the establishment rulers which control the government through the central banking system and the partys that follow in lock step with their dictates. I have always said that the only way people would finally and really wake up was when they were bitten on the buttocks by the government. They need to be shocked back into reaility. They need to lose their comfort zones. Soon, very soon. And those who are not prepared to ride out the storm will suffer the worse.
We need a 3rd party. The Republican leadership rejects conservatives and has sold out as RINOs for the NeoCon's. They are not making and personnal sacrifices for this country, our constituion or Judeo-Christian Values. They rolled over on Obama Care, pro-life and you know the list.
Too bad the outrage will not be directed to look to the only place where any real answers for our nation can be found–that is, to Yahweh (God of the Bible), His Son's redemption for the remnant, and His morality as codified in His perfect law and altogether righteous judgments (Psalm 19:7-11) for society. Eventually, when it's discovered that even the Tea Partiers ultimately don't have any answers either (in fact, they're promoting the genesis of our problems as the answer), the" outrage" will finally bend their knee, repent, and come back to their God.

The unfortunate thing about it all is the disaster that we are leaving for our children and grandchildren. It is a very sad statement of the American people that the majority don't care beyond themselves and today. Everything that has made this the greatest nation on earth has been forsaken, replacing hard work with welfare, morals with immorality, God with self, and on, and on.
We need a 2nd party, it appears the Republicans have joined the Democrats.
Candidates running under the banner of the phony "tea party" organization Freedomwatch lost in November, while the C4L candidates won most of their races. Freedomwatch was "cooked" up by the neo-con Koch brothers who hired (then fired when it all went south) Dick Armey as their head cheerleader. Michelle Bachmann was another thinly disguised neo-con RINO trying to ride the Tea Party wave. The phonies are always the easiest to spot.
The American people have already spoken – higher taxes is okay for the time being so we can pay down our deficit and debts. It's not going to be forever, so get over it.
You lost.
You'll lose again in 2014.
You'll lose again in 2016.
And so on, and so forth. The Tea Party is a sick joke.
The Tea Party is not a conservative party. The Tea Party is an extremist party bent on shrinking and destroying the government – much like the Taliban in the Middle East. You just haven't resorted to outright violence…yet.
Right…..years ago appx 20 percent of the population was on the government dole….now it is about 50/50 …if things go as they are now with the 99 preventers voted into office. Down the road there will be 80 percent on the government and only 20 percent. Paying for it….how long will the government be able to keep paying out????? Soon all of you government Moochers will be living under a tree and NO. oNE. WILL. Be able to help you and it will be all your own fault. YOU. WILL. OWN. IT
Shane, I think your legalized pot and obama kool aid have infected your brain cell. The Tea Party is a Constitution based party, bent on upholding the God given rights and freedoms of all Americans. The extremist that are really like the Taliban are the liberals favoring murdering of babies, limiting free speech to those who agree with their ideals, limiting the rights of Christians, taking from the working class to give to the non-working class. If you want to see a violent group, watch the black caucus, the gay and lesbian movement, the unions. They're the ones who have already resorted to violence against all who oppose their views.
If you think that higher taxes will only be "for the time being" you aren't very familiar with how our government takes. It is a self feeding monster at this point and will continue to consume until there is nothing left. Yes, we lost. So did you, you just haven't figured it out yet. This once great nation will become poverty stricken and destitute like in the Great Depression.
T- TAXED is WHAT ~I~ understood "TEA PARTY" meant a few years ago when it First caught on!
E-ENOUGH WAKE UP Shine,

Zephaniah 3:
1 Woe to her that is filthy and polluted, to the oppressing city!
2 She obeyed not the voice; she received not correction; she trusted not in יהוה (YAH;) she drew not near to her Elohim (God.)
3 Her princes within her are roaring lions; her judges are evening wolves; they gnaw not the bones till the morrow.
4 Her prophets are light and treacherous persons: her priests have polluted the sanctuary, they have done violence to the law.
Folks, Shane is paid by Cass Sunstein to go into the blogosphere and flog the government's POV. Don't try to convince him, he's doing this for money. To try to refute that with principle is a waste of energy.
Shane, you have no idea what you are talking about, go back to abc.com and leave the serious conversation to adults.
Yep. And third parties aren't necessarily the be-all, end-all they're cracked up to be. Just take a look at what a disappointment Jesse Ventura was as governor. He was Democrat lite.
The Heritage Foundation (heritage.org) has an excellent chart called Taxmageddon that shows the new taxes coming in on January 1, 2013. It shows state by state and county by county what the average wage earner will pay, and it's ugly! It ranges from $3,000 up to over $6,000 per year more in taxes on top of all the taxes we already pay. If our Congress really cares about American workers, they will get rid of Obamacare ASAP! I don't see much hope, though, our current Congress (with a few exceptions) is too busy feathering their nests and deferring to Obama to think about working Americans…
Just the opposite. No one likes Tea Party members. All they do is protest and stop our wounded troops (patriots) from getting the help they have fought hard for, and deserve while Tea Partiers enjoy the freedoms won by our wounded troops (patriots) . Tea partiers do not fight for their country. Just look at Pat Twoomey. When it came time to pass legislation for our wounded troops (patriots) , he balked at giving them anything. And passed a resolution denying our wounded troops (patriots) help. Damn the TP, it should stand for toilet paper.
