The series of mass shootings this year have persuaded Americans that they had better get guns while the getting is good. They are buying like there is no tomorrow.
Here is how it works.
1. Lunatic with weapons shoots into a crowd.
2. Crowd members, not being armed, fail to shoot back.
3. Media feeding frenzy begins.
4. Gun control advocates smell blood.
5. Gun control advocates call for more controls.
6. Democrats in safe districts demand more controls.
7. Republicans fight back, knowing they have the votes.
8. Gun owners buy another gun, just to be sure.
9. Non-owners buy a gun, just to be sure.
10. Democrats can’t get a gun control law passed.
11. People forget.
Obama’s election in 2008 led to a huge increase in gun sales.
Get yours now. If Obama is re-elected it will be very hard to buy a gun. It is already harder to get ammunition.

His re-election will boost sales of firearms & ammunition to previously undreamed-of highs.
And the Democrats still won't be able to get any gun-control legislation passed.

The NRA calls me for donations and warns me that my "2nd Amendment Rights" are in jeopardy, and sending them money will help preserve that "right". Well, by Bible tells me all god-fearing men should be armed to protect kith and kin. I told the last NRA guy on the phone, "well, it's a good thing I don't get my right to be armed from the U.S. Constitution, I get it from Luke 22:36!"

Let us not forget the the Lord Jesus Christ, the Prince of Peace actually commanded His followers to purchase swords for their self-defense. When we take this fact, coupled with numerous other scriptures that authorize armed citizens and, as Ted Weiland rightly ponted out, command us, as a moral responsibility, to be armed and ready to protect our fellow man, it is clear that ownership of personal arms such as guns is very much Biblical. Moreover, nowhwhere does the Law of God give the Civil Government any authority to restrict, regulate, register, or confiscate privately-owned personal arms. Forget the Second Amendment–the Surpreme Court could overturn that a week from now. But the Word of the Lord God ALmighty shall stand forever, and those who oppose it, for whatever reason, invite judgment on themselves and their nations.
Christians who advocate gun-control need to seriously consider these things.
Anyone here ever heard of a small hand gun that shoots 410 shot. I would like to know if they really exist. Might be able to get rid of varmits after our chickens. Need to be too close for a shotgun.

@DorisC: Check the Taurus Judge, which uses .45 ACP rounds or .410 shotgun rounds. IIRC, a US manufacturer (Smith & Wesson?) just came out with a similar design.

That People is what the 2nd Amendment is REALLY about, has NOTHING to do with skeet shooting or Hunting, it's the right to protect yourself from others including Government……….
Oboma and his party have cited several cities who have some gun restrictions but Obama's home city of Chicago, which has the strictest gun regulations in the country, has the highest numbers of killings (over 300) so far this year. Guns don't kill people, people kill people.
smith and wession also has the "Governor" that loads a .410 shell.
The Judge also comes in a rifle/shotgun version called the District Judge I believe. It has a rotating cylinder and shoots .45 Colt and .410 shot shells. The rifle is about $500 and is sold by Wal-Mart.
Precisely what the Second Amendment was written for, when all else (ballot box, jury box) fails. If the government says all those 100's of millions of hollow-point rounds they're buying up is for agents' training, they're lying. Hollow points are not for target practice, they're designed to maim and kill.
