Muslim Congressman Wants a Tax-Funded Islamic School System

Written by Gary North on July 9, 2012

Here is a unique proposed reform of the public schools. They should be governed by the Koran.

When one group of taxpayers is compelled by law to pay for schools run by people with rival views, there will be political conflict.

When those schools are then made compulsory, unless parents pay for their children’s education out of their after-tax income, we have a formula for tyranny.

This is why public education is a battleground today. Every group wants control over the minds of the next generation.

The solution to this conflict is simple in theory: parent-funded voluntary education. But the people who control the system today will not hear of this. They want the money, the licensing, and the curriculum materials to stay in their hands.

  1. This is but another consequence of the First Amendment's polytheistic enabling freedom of religion clause. Ironically, most conservative Christians hang their religious hat on Amendment 1 as if there is some great Christian principle to be found therein when in fact it is seditious act again Yahweh, the God of the Bible. What were the framers and states thinking? What are today's Christians thinking?

This dumb-ass is getting to be a real embarrassment. The thing he does not realize is that he thinks he is one of them when
    he really isn't.

  3. How the hell did a MUSLIM get elected to a congressional seat is America AND if any school adopts such a program tax dollars should be withheld……he should go to a muslim country where they have such systems and STAY there!

  4. Patriot1776 says:

This is the point where everyone should be screaming about the separation of church and state. I have no problem with them attempting to start koran based, muslim private schools if that is their desire. I was fortunate to have attended private christian schools. But to use our tax dollars to create and maintain and education system based on their religion is anti-constitutional. Where are the lefties and the ACLU screaming about this one?

Folks this is the problem with United States of America, we have a horrible immigration system and a massive problem and this is the result. To immigrate to the United States used to be a very special thing. The immigrants wanted to be in the United States.
All the people who used to come to the United States came from all over the world, and they would assimilate into our culture becoming an American. These is Islams do not want to assimilate. They want to assimilate America into them. Most of the Islamic's here are illegals, Or are on expired visas, and they need to have their asses shipped back to the desert. America is a special place, unfortunately for our horrible immigration and Lack of enforcement, our country is being torn apart. Same just with Mexicans drug cartels, and illegal wet backs. But only the Islamists, holding up their Koran, make it clear clash with our Christian values here in our country.
What do you think the crusades were about? How about break out a good history book and read about the Christian crusades against the Islamists. It's all the same gig history is just repeating itself, only now in our time.
The Clash of the civilizations. You hear about couples getting arrested in Dubai? For kissing in public. Jail.
Islam and Christianity do not mix. Sometimes that's just the way it goes. I'd like to see them all go back to the desert, where they came from, if they can take their hate filled ideology with them.

  6. How the hell did a Muslim get elected to The Office of President of The United States?

  7. By the dumb constituents.

for a start, all ILLEGAL ALIENS need to be shipped out when found, no delays. Islam and Shria teach the overthrow of the US Government, treason and sedition, all Muslims are to be shipped out . All welfare recipients are to be assigned to work at taxpayers homes dong odd jobs. Having the person paying their check yelling at them n=may provide an incentive to get a real job.
All citizens between 10 and 24 do 3 years national service or the military. The ones going into the military get better pay, benefits, and after service perks.

  10. I for one, AM just as offended as you are, but for different reasons. When non-believers say how we refuse to let Christians determine education standards based on the Big Book of Fables for everyone regardless of beliefs THIS cr*p is what we're talking about. You like it?

NO religion in tax-funded schools, period.

  11. Obama worshiped under Wright for 20 years. Wright's a Christian. Obama's a Christian. Just because you think the Jesus character was a truck-driving, football-loving white doesn't change a thing.

  12. Cleaning your house is a real job. I'd gladly clean your house so good, you'd be able to eat off of the floor. But with that table cleared off and you dishes done, why would you?

But, for a start, all ILLEGAL ALIENS need to be shipped out when found, no delays. The Judeo-Christian bible teaches obedience to Jesus before the US Government. All Christians are to be shipped out .

Oh look. I mocked you with proper punctuation, grammar and spelling. I must be a "gul-durned lib." (Is that how you say it? I want to get this right.) Don't you hate getting mocked in spelling at your age?

  13. This is exactly what the first amendment guarantees. He ought to be able to use money that was already forcefully taken from American tax-paying citizens for anything he likes, just like everyone else who has figured out the game. The non-taxed poor really don't care what their kids learn and the non-taxed rich pay for their own world class teachers. The Constitution ENABLES and PROTECTS this kind of mafia mindset. We need a voluntary society and competing school system.

  14. I admit to enjoying this show. How many decades have Christians demanded science step aside in the classroom to make way for YOUR religious book's sake and YOUR beliefs? How does it feel to see yet another moron creationist suggest YOUR kids be taught according to yet another moron religion's dogma?

You like that feeling in your gut? You like others trying to tell you how it's gonna be? Now you know how non-Christians have felt all along.

I'm gonna enjoy watching all you whine and squirm about this one. Ha!

  15. Blair Franconia, NH says:

    Ain't gonna happen.

  16. Patriot1776 says:

Is your "Big Book of Fables" the Communist guide? In your liberal double-speak, for you to say that you "refuse to let Christians determine education standards" what you are in fact saying is that you feel you have some cosmic right to determine education standards based on whatever your beliefs or non-beliefs are. What makes you think that you have any more right in setting standards than any other group? At least Christians have a moral guide, whether you like it or not. My suggestion would ultimately be to have no tax-funded schools, period. Then the free market would set the standard for education, not government.

  17. Patriot1776 says:

    If you are going to mock another's spelling and punctuation, at least get your's right;

"I'd gladly clean your house so good, you'd be able to eat off of the floor. But with that table cleared off and you dishes done, why would you? " … "you dishes done"?

Apparently you have read either enough of the Bible to be slightly aware of it's contents or you've at least read the liberals replies to conservative, christian logic, and yes, the Bible puts God before all things, Jesus also teaches us to render unto Ceasar that which is Ceasars, and we are taught to respect government as our leaders are given us by God.

  18. Patriot1776 says:

This is exactly what the 1st Amendment prohibits, "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion,…"

  19. Mike Pierce says:

How is he a congressmen? He can not take the oath, or are we just counting lies as a non issue? What is wrong with America when you can lie and lead.

  20. BubbaInTexas says:

You libtard. Wright and Obama are Marxists. There was nothing Christian being preached in that "church".

  21. BubbaInTexas says:

No doubt, he took the oath on the Holy Kotex.

  22. Erik Osbun says:

No religious or religious/political group like Islam may be funded by taxpayer money. It's against the law.

  23. ContextMatters says:

What saddens me is that those making comments in favor of “separation of Church and State” seem to be ignorant of the religious climate that prevailed in this country when that amendment was written. Congress opened their sessions with prayers to the Christian God. The “Ten Commandments” from Exodus 20 had been carved on the wall of the Supreme Court. Our Founders had a strong affinity to the Christian religion over other religions. Why?

Because the Christian religion is the best at teaching personal morality, personal responsibility, and best able to guarantee people’s personal freedoms. The teachings of Jesus were deeply personal, and not meant for society as a whole, yet as each person adheres to those teachings, society as a whole is improved. From the times even before public schools, the Bible was used as the main text in the “classroom” (often the local church). When the public schools were founded, the Bible continued to be used as the main text, and our society was better for it.

Are we better off teaching our kids that there is no God to which we must give an account? Are we better off teaching them that there is no Supreme Law? For if there is no Supreme Law, then all law is derived from man, and can change with the changing of the men (and women) who write them. We now see our society thrust upon the sea, tossed about with every whim of those who rule over us. Companies are slow to hire because they have no idea how the next president or the next congress will rule over them; what laws they will force that company to abide by, costing them even more money. We teach our children that they evolved from apes, and they prove us right by acting like animals.

Society is heading toward universal acceptance of homosexual marriage, thus redefining it for the first time ever. But if marriage is allowed to mean whatever we want it to mean, then marriage becomes meaningless. And California has proved this by sponsoring a bill to allow a three-person marriage. Where does it end? We must either be a society ruled by a Supreme Law, or we will be lawless. There are no in-betweens.

  24. Which Supreme Law – the Constitution and all laws and treaties made in pursuance thereof, as per Article 6 or Yahweh's morality as codified in His perfect law and altogether righteous judgments (Psalm 19:7-9)?

  26. Paladin says:

The Founding Fathers were not polytheist nor were promoters of other faiths. Most of the signers of the Constitution were Christians or at least were men who believed in the Bible. No one who is a real Bible-believing Christian promotes other religions, of which all are contradictory and in oppostion to the tenants of the Christian faith. Nor does he recoginize other religions as being on equal footing with the Christian faith. The Bible makes it very plain no one comes to God but through Christ, and their is no other name under heaven in which men can be saved, i.e. delivered from the guilt and penalty of sin.

During and before the 18th century the people in England understood the word “religion”, unless qualified to mean something else, to be synonomous with the Christian religion or faith. It’s application in the Constituton is to be understood in that sense. The Constitution was written in 1787, not 1987. The concept that the word means, as it does today, religon per se is a misnomer and is very misleading and is a major stumbling block in understaning the true meaning of the Constitution.

  27. Will we still be the Country of choice and still be America if we continue to make the changes forced on us by the people from other countries that came to live in America because it is the Country of Choice? Think about it . . .
All I have to say is, when will they do something about MY RIGHTS? I celebrate Christmas, but because it isn't celebrated by everyone, we can no longer say Merry Christmas. Now it has to be Season's Greetings. It's not Christmas vacation, it's Winter Break. Isn't it amazing how this winter break ALWAYS occurs over the Christmas holiday? We've gone so far the other way, bent over backwards to not offend anyone, that I am now being offended. But it seems that no one has a problem with that. This says it all! This is an editorial written by an American citizen, published in a Tampa newspaper. He did quite a job; didn't he? Read on, please! IMMIGRANTS, NOT AMERICANS, MUST ADAPT.

  28. I am tired of this nation worrying about whether we are offending some individual or their culture. Since the terrorist attacks on Sept. 11, we have experienced a surge in patriotism by the majority of Americans. However, the dust from the attacks had barely settled when the "politically correct" crowd began complaining about the possibility that our patriotism was offending others. I am not against immigration, nor do I hold a grudge against anyone who is seeking a better life by coming to America.

  29. Our population is almost entirely made up of descendants of immigrants. However, there are a few things that those who have recently come to our country, and apparently some born here, need to understand. This idea of America being a multicultural community has served only to dilute our sovereignty and our national identity. As Americans, we have our own culture, our own society, our own language and our own lifestyle. This culture has been developed over centuries of struggles, trials, and victories by millions of men and women who have sought freedom. We speak ENGLISH, not Spanish, Portuguese, Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, Russian, or any other language. Therefore, if you wish to become part of our society, learn the language! "In God We Trust" is our national motto. This is not some Christian, right wing, political slogan. We adopted this motto because Christian men and women,

  30. on Christian principles, founded this nation, and this is clearly documented It is certainly appropriate to display it on the walls of our schools. If God offends you, then I suggest you consider another part of the world as your new home, because God is part of our culture. If Stars and Stripes offend you, or you don't like Uncle Sam, then you should seriously consider a move to another part of this planet. We are happy with our culture and have no desire to change, and we really don't care how you did things where you came from. This is OUR COUNTRY, our land, and our lifestyle. Our First Amendment gives every citizen the right to express his opinion and we will allow you every opportunity to do so. But once you are done complaining, whining, and griping about our flag, our pledge, our national motto, or our way of life, I highly encourage you take advantage of one other great American freedom, THE RIGHT TO LEAVE.

  31. Paladin, you're just repeating what has been parroted for years and is wrong. Go read the chapter mentioned above, the documentation is there proving that, in the context of the 1787 Constitution, the word "religion" was all inclusive of all religions.
