Gitmo: $140 Million a Year, 169 Prisoners

Written by Gary North on June 14, 2012

Do the math. That’s $800,000 per prisoner.

Why? To find out, here is a video from NBC News. The reporter is the poor soul whose story on Clinton and Monica got suppressed by Newsweek in 1998, and who therefore made Matt Drudge a multi-millionaire.

Gitmo is being upgraded, as you have seen. I was happy to see that the military is providing free courses in personal financial management and another in how to write an effective job application. I can see it now. Recent employment history: “Researching government waste in off-shore prison facilities.”

Obama promised to close Gitmo. He hasn’t.

American forces are still in Afghanistan. Osama bin Laden is dead. Al Qaeda no longer operates there. The Taliban does. The Taliban was in control prior to 2001. It had nothing to do with the attacks on 9-11, and no one in power ever said that it did.

When will we close Gitmo? When the Great Default hits.

I hope the prisoners have developed their job application skills. They will need them.

Yet Obonoxious Obozo wants disabled Vets to pay for their own disabilities. I am glad that was over turned but this the absolute contempt Obozo has for our great nation, THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. The prisoners at gitmo are, at the very least, serving time at the most exclusive motel in all of the world. Yes………. they can not leave and return home but this is a whole lot more exclusive than the home that the prisoners are away from. It is sad to think so very much luxery is afforded an extremely violent prisoner. It is just a terrible waste of good money.

The ayatollah barack hussein obama promised change, one of them being that he would close this infamous prison for terrorists. Seems as if the ayatollah has, once again, lied thru his teeth and speaks from both sides of his white/black mouth. He would sell his own mother (hell yes!! she is white) to get more votes. I wonder if the ayatollah realizes that his halo is started to slide andslide and that the people who count in this country are starting to take note of all the lies and skullduggery. and the corrupt government.

  3. Any other country would have hanged them already as the terrorist they are. But those countries don't have unemployed lawyers seeking to get on the "Lawyer Gravytrain" dole from the government. Read that as the same as corporate welfare.

The ayatollah barack hussein obama turned gitmo into a college for his buddies it sounds like.

  5. It is too costly to run that place hang them all.
