Written by Gary North on March 13, 2012

This video is clear. Leon Panetta, the Secretary of Defense, told the Senate Armed Services Committee that the President will seek a war’s authorization under international law. Then the President may or may not come to Congress for approval of this war.

  1. SEAN MURRY says:

    He needs to be impeached.

  2. The U.S. Senate has become a ceremonial and strictly traditional institution, much like the ancient Roman Senate or the British Royalty of today. After all, the Senate is the institution that handed the Executive branch blatant dictatorial powers under the National Defense Authorization Act. What does Sessions expect? Notice his response to Panetta at the end of the discussion. He clearly cowers to Panetta in a wimpering and complaining tone after Panetta tells Sessions that he and his colleagues have no power, influence, or control over what the President does.

  3. Paul F Knittel says:

He swore on the Holy Bible to "Support and defend the Constitution of the United States" .. where does a President get this authority to ignore the Constitution… I SECOND THE NOMINATION… IMPEACH HIM NOW !!! He does not even merit being called the "PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES"….

  4. "…where does a President get this authority to ignore the Constitution?" I wouldn't call it "authority" but he signs bills from the Congress which allow him to ignore the Constitution such as the Patriot Act and the NDAA, among others.

  5. Harold Clark says:

    Hiel Obama!

  6. William 1 says:

    Then he outa be shot!

  7. Joe Levi says:

There is a Bill before Congress that would make any President, not just Obama, guilty of "high crimes and misdemeanors" and trigger Impeachment proceedings if he takes any kind of military action that's rightfully reserved to the Congress.

  9. This President is a disgrace to the office which he holds. He has no respect for the Constitution of The United States of America.
I hope everyone is enjoying $4.00 a gallon gasoline now. It won't be long before it is $5.00 a gallon. Go ahead reelect him again for another 4 years and see what you get. More Change!
